Through the progress of completing this integrated assignment, I have assembled many wonderful learning experiences. I have learnt to not only communicate and corporate with my teammates but also respecting them. My group consists of both Malay and Chinese students. In order to accomplish the assignment on time we have to work together. The fact that we have different religion and believes is making it challenging for us to cooperate at first. The key to making things work is to really committing in to communicating with each other with respect and patience. After hard work and tolerance things do work out, we can now better collaborate with each other. Hence, boost up efficiency on carrying out the assignment. All parties have to contribute during discussion, I have learnt to speak up and give my opinion. From time to time my opinion might get rejected or disprove by my teammates but that is how we learn and share out thoughts. Also, each and every one of our teammates have to carry out our responsibilities doing our part in the assignment. Helping each other out and giving a hand to those who are in need of help, making sure everyone is up to speed and no one is left behind. As we complete the assignment I notice that the bond between me and my teammates has strengthen.

 

        One of the Taylors Graduate Capabilities, which reflects through this assignment, is lifelong learning (TGC 2.0). Throughout the process of accomplishing the integrated assignment, I also learnt to effectively locate and extract information then only speak up, raising my voice to share my opinion. Doing this with a small group of friends that I knew well helps to boost my confidence. As time pass, I have learn better way to better elaborate my ideas giving a clearer picture of my ideas to the people I share with. Also, an advancement on my thinking pattern, coming up with creative ideas, thinking out of the box but not too much until it brunches out of the topic. Besides, I have also learn to make wise decision in a short period of time instated of hesitating and wasting time. For example, distribution of our individual work, deciding which Secret Recipe to conduct our survey.

 

        Other than that, I have also learnt another one of Taylors Graduate Capabilities which is improving my communication skills (TGC3.0). I have learnt better way to communicate not only to my teammates but also to the employees of the business I have conducted surveys in. Now, I am more confident and better in presenting my idea and speaking in front of a crowd, getting people to focus their attention on me when I am speaking or expressing my thoughts. Key to that is to speak in a fluent tone, maintaining eye contacts, coming up with something knowledgeable to say, certain level of elaboration, interaction with others, etc. During a discussion, everyone gives out their own thought we help each other to sort out all the idea, then choose the best one to work with. Communication skill is important to all of us when we are working in a group as it help us to better understand each other and giving clearer picture of what we are delivering.

 

        Last but not least, Taylor’s Graduate Capabilities 8.0 digital literacy. Current assignment that has been done needed to be created in to a webpage format and handed in. As we all know digital technology has develop dramatically since last decade. Digital literacy is an important skill as everyone nowadays have to at least know a little bit about technology to survive. My knowledge on using certain skills on ICT have develop in the progress of this assignment. Me and my teammates uses social network to keep in touch after school hours. It is more convenient this way so that we does not have to purposely arrange a meeting to discuss some minor detail. Proudly, we and my teammates complete our task on time.

 

        All this learning experience I have assembled from this integrated assignment will definitely help to guide me in the future. The TGC will assists me in ways throughout my career. The communication skills will give me a better chance to get a job as I will perform well in my interview. As for lifelong learning, it will able me to allocate important information, and coming up with countermeasure against problem I am facing. Lastly, digital literacy. This skill will help me accomplish my work faster and easier as I am more familiar with the technology I will be using. When I step foot on to the competitive corporate world these skills that I am equip with are the key to help me stand firm, leading to a successful career.
