After visiting the Secret Recipe for our integrated assignment, it has widened my knowledge and I have gathered a few learning experiences. The relationship between my group mates is getting well. The group has definitely done a great job in covering each other’s weaknesses. Firstly, the most important things that I had learnt during this period is respect each other’s ideas. Although, we are different religion in this group, but we share our knowledge and discuss together. Each of us had face a lot of obstacles for completing the project .We also do the research together for the fact to complete this project. Besides that, I had also realize the real meaning of teamwork. Without teamwork, we are unable to finish the work on time. Our leader had assigned each of us one particular tasks to complete it. Each of us had contributed our own strengths and capabilities. This project has taught me that we need to work together as a team. Another things that I had learnt from this period is punctuality and responsibility. If you want to be a successful businessman, punctuality is the one of the key to success. Last but not least, my social skills had improved after this period. I had learnt how to deal with people from different country and different background.

       

        All of my learning experience is tied into the TGC, Taylor’s Graduate Capabilities. First of all, working in a team gradually improved my communication skills. In advance, we haven't team up as a group, I rarely have a chance to talk to anyone. It has been difficult to communicate with other people because of my nervous. I used to get nervous when I communicate with English because my English pronunciation is not fluently. I had difficulty approaching the help from others. Throughout this project, we have been helping each other, so it makes work easier and lighter. Nowadays, in the business world, interpersonal skills and communication skills are both equally important. For example, while we are having a business trade or deal with customer or others companies, we need have to clearly communicate, so that they can fully understand. We need to be very confident in ourselves in what we talk and how we react to others when we are having meetings or business trades. As a result, it would sound more convincing to the customers and company’s stakeholders. With these communication skills so I can get a job that I desire easily in the future. This allows me to find a job easily, because I have a company needs to have the right skills. Furthermore, I also improved through the integration of project specific knowledge of my discipline. This group project across five different modules which require wide range of knowledge in different sectors. I have gained solid foundation knowledge in relevant subjects when working together with my group members to finish the project. For example, I learnt how to apply economic theories in my daily life after completed the project. Besides that, through this project, I gained more knowledge on ethical issues in the actual business world. My personal research on ethical issues of Papparich allows me to further understand ethical issues in different modules. This will definitely aid me in my future career to become an ethical businessman which able to benefit the society. 

 

        Last but not least, throughout the project, the new learning experience that I gathered is that thinking critically and creatively is important to arrive at the best solution. We can have unlimited ideas, if we think critically. We do not worry this is right or wrong, we just share our thoughts or opinions, so that we can discuss whether it is suitable for use in our project or not. Other than that, we learn to plan well to do the project.  Our assignments are equally divided among us to make work easier. Strategic planning teaches us how to manage our time wisely. Problems solving often involves decision making and it is especially important for leadership and management. The integrated project helped me to think wisely and improve my thinking and problem solving skills. Having to think critically and come up with the best solution will be beneficial in many aspects of my ability.

 

        After visiting Secret Recipe, I have gathered plenty of learning experiences which I feel will be useful in my near future. Communication skills that I learned through this project can make me a better confidence and talking to strangers in the future, no matter where I am. This has also allowed me and my colleague better communication and interaction, thus working under pleasant environment. This integrated group assignment had taught me to be flexible in applying concepts to real-life situations and thus, for this, I’m truly grateful.
